Alison Sydor: Mountain Biking


Alison Sydor, a professional cross country mountain cyclist was born on September 9, 1966 in Edmonton, Alberta. She began cycling at age 20 and is a graduate of the University of Victoria. She won a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in mountain bike, and has won gold, silver and bronze medals at various mountain bike world championships. For 13 consecutive years (1992-2004), she never finished outside of the top-5 at the world championships.
